LIVEQ PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy explains how LiveQ (the “App” or the “Service”) processes personal data, including in Mode 1 (Offline Solo Score), Mode 2 (Studio-Style Experience), and Mode 3 (Real-Time 1v1 Duel), and describes your rights under applicable privacy laws, including Türkiye’s KVKK, the EU/EEA GDPR, and relevant U.S. state privacy laws(including the California CCPA/CPRA framework where applicable).
1) Core Principles
LiveQ processes personal data:
lawfully, fairly, and transparently;
for specified, explicit, and legitimate purposes;
limited to what is necessary (data minimization);
accurate and up to date where relevant; and
retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described.
2) Explicit Commitments: No Camera/Microphone Use, No Audio/Video Recording, No Livestreaming, Screen Recording Is OS-Level Only
The following statements are explicitly true for LiveQ:
LiveQ does not access or use your camera and does not request camera permission.
LiveQ does not access or use your microphone and does not request microphone permission.
LiveQ does not record audio or video and does not livestream (including any audio/video broadcast).
Any mention of “recording your experience” refers only to the screen recording feature provided by your device’s operating system (or a screen recording app on your device).
LiveQ does not access, collect, upload, store, or process screen recording files. Screen recordings remain on your device and within your device’s OS / recording application / gallery.
3) Categories of Data We May Process
Not all categories apply to every user. Data processed depends on the features you use.
3.1 Account and Identity Data (if applicable)
Username/nickname, user ID, login/session data, language and country preferences.
3.2 Gameplay and Usage Data
Selected mode(s), question/answer interactions (e.g., correct/incorrect counts), scores, progress and rewards, hero selections, match results, ranking/leaderboard data (if available).
3.3 Device and Technical Data
Device model, operating system version, app version, language/time zone, performance data, crash/error logs, and network/connection technical data (which may include an approximate IP address when the Service connects online).
3.4 Purchases and Subscriptions (if applicable)
Limited purchase validation data (e.g., product identifiers, purchase status, receipt validation information).
LiveQ does not process your payment card details. Payments are handled by Apple App Store / Google Play.
3.5 Support and Communications
Information you provide when contacting support, including messages and attachments you choose to send.
4) Mode-Specific Processing
4.1 Mode 1 – Offline Solo Score
Mode 1 is primarily offline.
Scores/progress may be stored locally on your device.
If online features exist and are enabled (e.g., account sync, cloud backup, leaderboards), relevant scores/progress may be transmitted to servers to provide those features.
4.2 Mode 2 – Studio-Style Experience (Simulated Host)
The host/presenter flow in Mode 2 is simulated.
You may choose to use your device’s OS-level screen recording to save your experience.
LiveQ does not start, stop, control, or manage your screen recording and does not access the resulting recording file.
LiveQ does not process camera/microphone data and does not livestream.
4.3 Mode 3 – Real-Time 1v1 Duel
Mode 3 is a real-time mode where players are matched and gameplay is synchronized.
To provide matchmaking, synchronization, results, and progression, LiveQ may process:
user ID/session data,
matchmaking data,
answers (e.g., true/false, correct/incorrect), gameplay events,
hero stats used in the duel, match outcome, rewards/progress,
technical and security data to prevent cheating/abuse.
5) Purposes of Processing
We process data to:
provide and operate the Service and its modes;
manage progress, rewards, and rankings (if applicable);
enable real-time matchmaking and synchronization (Mode 3);
protect the Service and users (security, fraud/cheat prevention, abuse detection);
troubleshoot, monitor stability, and improve performance;
comply with legal obligations and handle disputes;
respond to support requests.
6) Legal Bases (GDPR/KVKK)
Depending on your location and the feature, processing may rely on one or more of:
Contract performance (to deliver the Service and core features);
Legitimate interests (security, anti-cheat, service improvement, stability), balanced against your rights;
Consent (where required, e.g., certain analytics/advertising configurations);
Legal obligations (where applicable).
7) Sharing and Disclosure
LiveQ may share data only as necessary with:
Infrastructure and hosting providers (servers, databases, CDN);
Real-time matchmaking/communication infrastructure (for Mode 3);
Crash/performance monitoring providers (if used);
App Store / Google Play (for purchase/subscription handling and validation);
Authorities or legal parties when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity.
We share only the minimum data needed and apply contractual and technical safeguards.
8) International Data Transfers (EU/EEA, Türkiye, U.S.)
Our servers or service providers may be located in different countries. Where international transfers occur:
for EU/EEA data, we apply appropriate safeguards (e.g., contractual protections and technical measures) consistent with GDPR requirements;
for Türkiye, we take measures consistent with KVKK;
we apply reasonable security controls to protect data in transit and at rest where applicable.
9) Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary:
gameplay/account data: while your account remains active or as needed to provide the Service;
security/anti-cheat logs: for a reasonable period necessary for security and dispute handling;
crash/performance logs: for a limited period to improve stability;
purchase validation records: as required for operational and legal needs.
After retention ends, data is deleted, anonymized, or otherwise disposed of in accordance with applicable law.
10) Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures (e.g., access controls, encrypted transport via TLS/HTTPS, logging, secure development practices) to protect personal data. No internet transmission method is 100% secure, but we work to reduce risk.
11) Children’s Privacy
LiveQ is not intended to knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us at liveqshow@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps consistent with applicable law.
12) Your Rights (EU/EEA, Türkiye, U.S.)
12.1 EU/EEA (GDPR)
You may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent (where consent is the legal basis). You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
12.2 Türkiye (KVKK)
You may exercise your rights under KVKK Article 11 (including requesting information, correction, deletion, and objection, among others).
12.3 United States (State Privacy Laws)
Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, delete, correct (in some states), and opt out of certain processing (such as targeted advertising or “sale/share” under California’s CCPA/CPRA concepts, if applicable). We will respond as required by applicable law.

13) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the App and/or through appropriate channels. The “Effective Date” above indicates when this version took effect.
